I love holidays, because they present the perfect excuse to bake. It’s even better when the holiday has a color scheme that I can use on a cake.
For Easter, I wanted to bake a cake with a pastel color scheme. I made a three layer carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. The top is covered in piped leaves and flowers.
I liked the end result of this cake, because it reminds me of spring. In the future, I think it could be fun to completely cover the cake with piped flowers.
